Summary: Full - time position available to work 3rd shift (10 pm – 6:30 am) to perform all phases of mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs to the building, including plant equipment. These repairs will be performed with a sense of urgency and accuracy to help minimize / ensure there are no disruptions to plant operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment and on the building.
  • • Complete all work in a timely manner with the expected level of quality and pride.
  • • Check operational equipment throughout the plant periodically during the shift to identify potential problems and/or areas of concern, and to minimize / eliminate instances of failure.
  • • Thoroughly troubleshoot all problems and areas of concern.
  • • Immediately and effectively communicate all problems and concerns with the supervisor.
  • • Work in a professional manner with all employees and with outside contractors, regardless of the situation.
  • • Attend and successfully complete various training classes throughout the year, as assigned.
  • • Knowledge of and willingness to learn the startup, shut down and repair of boilers.
  • • Capably use a computer to retrieve work orders, to sign off on work completed, and to reorder parts used for daily repairs.
  • • Must be available to be reached by home or cell phone when needed for assistance.
  • • High school diploma or GED is required, along with at least two years mechanical experience or an equivalent vocational background.
  • • Must have proven mechanical ability. Previous electrical and welding experience is a plus.
  • • Ideal candidate has previous experience working in a manufacturing / production plant environment.
  • • Must be able to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • • Able to work on and successfully complete multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail.
  • • Must have proper hand tools needed to fulfill job responsibilities.

Summary: This full-time, salaried position is based in our Middlebury plant. The successful applicant must ensure costs are captured accurately as incurred at each stage of production, will participate, understand and explain all plant spending and variances, and will function as an on-site financial resource to plant management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Responsibilities will include generating, analyzing and presenting spending and production measurement summaries, calculating the monthly dairy liquid standard cost of production for the defined plant site, reconciling the monthly FMMA Settlement with adjusting entries, and participating with others to reconcile the Cost / Production / Inventory system to the balance sheet.
  • • Individual must be able to guide future production changes (expansion / reductions, efficiencies / impact) while participating with Operations in conducting capital investment analyses.
  • • Occasional travel to all plant and administrative sites may be needed.

Summary: This full-time salaried position will provide strong leadership, guidance and direction for all maintenance employees within the plant. This role will have direct responsibility for cheese production and ensure that volume, cost standards, and quality parameters of the Company are achieved.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Responsibilities include managing a work environment that is a 24/7 operation with numerous product changes, and managing high cheese quality standards using advanced cheese making technology.
  • • Individual will provide support for company growth and improvements, while supporting employees to ensure SOPs, GMP’s/SQF and quality maintenance programs are consistently followed.
  • • Responsible for the Management Rights Clause and general provisions as outlined in CBA, for company-generated SOP’s/ JIBs/ GMP’s, general production guidelines, and to review SQF documentation to ensure it is correctly filled out and verified.
  • • Associate’s degree required with three (3) year’s related experience in a dairy manufacturing plant, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary: The Quality Assurance Supervisor will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to lead the company’s compliance for food safety, quality and customer expectations. Individual will assist in monitoring and enhancing the SQF program as an operating platform; coordinate food safety, sanitation, and quality audit / follow up processes; work with stakeholders to identify gaps and implement robust solutions; and provide technical oversight to plant departmental Managers, Supervisors and work area Leads. This position will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to lead and develop the Cabot Lab as a Certified State Lab for Producer Testing and Finished Products. Assist in all aspects of managing the Cabot Lab including regulatory compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Security, Pest Control, and Weights and Measures SQF. Individual will also assist in leading Cabot’s Manufacturing and Cut & Wrap plants with all third party audits. This position will play a major leadership role in quality and food safety programs for all Manufacturing and Packaging Plant products.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Oversee laboratory tests on raw milk, manufactured products, and plant samples in a timely and accurate manner so as to assure that Agri-Mark’s quality standards are consistently met.
  • • Keep accurate and complete records of all tests performed and report to management any results which do not meet quality standards.
  • • Oversee preparation for certification of Cabot Manufacturing Plant Lab.
  • • Participate in annual split sample program administered by the Department of Agriculture in order to assure continued certification of the laboratory by the State of Vermont.
  • • Demonstrated ability to conduct data review, compilation and report generation to assist Senior Management Food Quality and Food Safety initiatives.
  • • Participate in annual SQF, FDA, USDA and State inspections and/or audits.
