Summary: This full-time, salaried position will represent Cabot Creamery as the #1 manufacturer and marketer of fine dairy foods, selling and merchandising Cabot products to customers on assigned sales routes from Chicago, IL to Milwaukee, WI. The selected candidate will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to grow sales while establishing and building retail customer relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Preferred candidates will increase brand and product knowledge, represent Cabot at trade shows and special events as needed, and Identify and solicit potential new customers within the defined DSD route service territory.
  • • Some overnight travel will be required (3 nights per week on average), as well as flexibility to support other DSD Drivers during vacations and other events.
  • • candidates must have at least three years’ of food industry, retail / wholesale / distributor experience, a proven sales record, valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a required DOT physical.
  • • Must be neat and professional in appearance, able to repeatedly lift and move cases weighing 40 lbs. or more, and have very good math and communication skills.

Summary: Full-time Sanitation Worker to work in our manufacturing plant. Start time may fluctuate anywhere from 4-6 p.m. and until midnight – 2 am. Weekend availability is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Disassemble, thoroughly clean, and reassemble pipelines, pumps and processing equipment.
  • • Follow instructions while dealing with caustic acid cleaning chemicals.
  • • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • • Previous experience working with caustic and cleaning chemicals.

Summary: This full-time, salaried position is based in our Middlebury plant. The successful applicant must ensure costs are captured accurately as incurred at each stage of production, will participate, understand and explain all plant spending and variances, and will function as an on-site financial resource to plant management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Responsibilities will include generating, analyzing and presenting spending and production measurement summaries, calculating the monthly dairy liquid standard cost of production for the defined plant site, reconciling the monthly FMMA Settlement with adjusting entries, and participating with others to reconcile the Cost / Production / Inventory system to the balance sheet.
  • • Individual must be able to guide future production changes (expansion / reductions, efficiencies / impact) while participating with Operations in conducting capital investment analyses.
  • • Occasional travel to all plant and administrative sites may be needed.
  • • Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Business / Accounting, and at least five (5) years of related experience in the dairy industry or in manufacturing.

Summary: This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position based in our Cabot Creamery manufacturing plant. Individual will report directly to the Sanitation Supervisor, and will be expected to provide leadership and direction to all sanitation department employees.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • In the Sanitation Supervisor’s absence, will coordinate the work of other sanitation crew members.
  • • Will be responsible for all aspects of the sanitation department and ensure that proper cleaning and sanitation of production facilities is achieved on a daily basis.
  • • Must be capable of learning all plant sanitation areas, and be knowledgeable in all sanitation roles to effectively address employee development and plant-specific needs, regardless of the area or timing.
  • • Must be able to handle situations or problems that occur with a high level of professionalism and direction.
  • • Ensure that all crew members receive adequate training and cross-training, with an emphasis on proper safety procedures.
  • • Previous supervisory / management experience is a plus.
  • • Must have above-average mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, strong math ability, and a proven ability to multi-task.
  • • Preferred candidate has experience working in a manufacturing production plant, ideally with sanitation.
  • • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive and encouraging attitude.
  • • Must be able to regularly lift up to 80 lbs.
  • • Preferred candidate has an Associate’s degree or higher. A high school diploma or GED is required.
