Summary: We will soon be hiring seasonal Retail Sales Associates to work in our Cabot Creamery retail store, located in Quechee. We would love to have you join our team, representing the farmers who own Cabot and sell the World’s Best Cheddar, as well as a wide assortment of Vermont Specialty Foods.

These positions are ideal for anyone who is available to work from the end of May - late August (and beyond). A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred candidates having at least one year of retail sales experience. Strong customer service and excellent communication skills are required, along with an enthusiasm to work with the public. Preferred candidates have open availability, and are able to work on holidays and on weekend rotations.

Summary: Full-time, hourly 3rd shift (11 pm – 7 am) position based in our Cabot Creamery manufacturing plant.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Individual will perform all phases of mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs to the building, and to dairy production equipment.
  • • Will be responsible to check running equipment throughout the plant periodically during the shift to identify potential problems and/or areas of concern, and to minimize / eliminate instances of failure.
  • • Schedule flexibility is required to fully support plant operations, including the willingness to work weekends and holidays, and on planned / unplanned tasks as needed.
  • • Must be available to be reached by home or cell phone when needed for assistance.
  • • Must have proper hand tools needed to fulfill job responsibilities, and able to regularly lift up to 80 lbs.
Qualifications
  • • Must have proven mechanical ability, with previous electrical experience. Welding experience is a plus.
  • • Ideal candidate has previous experience working in a manufacturing / production plant environment.
  • • Must have either the knowledge of or the willingness to learn the startup, shut down and repairing of boilers.
  • • Must be able to work on and successfully complete multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Summary: This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position based in our Cabot Creamery manufacturing plant. Individual will report directly to the Sanitation Supervisor, and will be expected to provide leadership and direction to all sanitation department employees.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • In the Sanitation Supervisor’s absence, will coordinate the work of other sanitation crew members.
  • • Will be responsible for all aspects of the sanitation department and ensure that proper cleaning and sanitation of production facilities is achieved on a daily basis. filling in for the Sanitation Supervisor during times of absence.
  • • Must be capable of learning all plant sanitation areas, and be knowledgeable in all sanitation roles to effectively address employee development and plant-specific needs, regardless of the area or timing.
  • • Must be able to handle situations or problems that occur with a high level of professionalism and direction.
  • • Ensure that all crew members receive adequate training and cross-training, with an emphasis on proper safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • • Preferred candidate has at least an Associate’s degree. A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • • Previous supervisory / management experience is a plus.
  • • Must have above-average mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, strong math ability, and a proven ability to multi-task.
  • • Preferred candidate has experience working in a manufacturing production plant, ideally with sanitation.
  • • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive and encouraging attitude.
  • • Must be able to regularly lift up to 80 lbs.

Summary: Full-time, salaried (exempt) position in our Middlebury, VT plant.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Under the direction of the Plant Manager, will be responsible for providing superior value-added business decisions and key performance advice to support the plant, as well as Agri-Mark’s business and financial commitments.
  • • Individual will provide strategic, operational and administrative direction to the plant team by leading through vision, setting high standards, and by defining key values, goals and objectives.
  • • The Production Manager plays an active role in the development of business processes, operating systems, and continuous improvement programs for plant operations, and in the production of cheese making and dried whey products.
  • • Promotes and works towards continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation, developing a 3-year plan, and will be responsible to implement plans for the plant’s future success.
  • • Provides direction and monitors the plant safety program to ensure all plant personnel are in compliance with all federal, state and company policies / procedures.
  • • Conduct daily and monthly chemical bulk tank storage inspections, and report substandard chemical system conditions to plant management.
  • • The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of sanitation operations, and will stay abreast with current and developing sanitation techniques.
Qualifications
  • • BA/BS degree required, ideally in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
  • • Preferred candidate has at least five (5) years experience In the Food Manufacturing / Dairy industry, has Global Supply Chain experience, and is able to effectively work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • • Preferred candidate must have at least eight (8) years demonstrated leadership experience, with progressive responsibilities within a manufacturing plant.
  • • Individual must have the ability to work effectively with plant personnel at all levels, and will interact with different support functions, customers, and members of senior management to understand capital and budget management for a plant.
  • • Must be able to capably use Microsoft Word and Excel, have a solid working knowledge of HACCP and SQF programs, and have strong organizational and communication skills.

Summary: Full-time, salaried (exempt) position in our Middlebury, VT facility. Will play a major leadership role in quality and food safety programs for Agri-Mark’s products, and will have responsibility for the plant’s Quality Assurance program and its employees who work in the QA Dept.   • • Excellent technical knowledge of cheese and cultured dairy manufacturing is essential, along with a strong working knowledge of microbiology and food science.
  • • a proven ability with achieving excellent in customer satisfaction, process and product quality, and reliability.
  • • Must be motivated to learn all facets of Agri-Mark’s Middlebury lab facility, and will be expected to take on expanded responsibilities over time.
