Summary: Full-time, salaried position based in Waitsfield. The purpose of this position is to focus on Demand Planning for all finished good items for the Cabot Cut & Wrap, Cultured Product and Butter manufacturing facilities. This individual will use all available tools to include statistical models, customer portals, Nielsen data and sales history to generate a weekly Demand Plan for production. The Demand Planner proactively gathers customer-level promotional and planogram changes from the Sales team to incorporate into the Demand Plan. The Demand Planner analyzes trends from multiple data sources and provides reports to various departments.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Manage the Demand Plan for approximately 300 SKU’s. Run statistical models and evaluate their integrity.
  • • Analyze promotional vs. base volumes for every SKU by Customer, and analyze shipments trends vs. POS trends by SKU.
  • • Use customer portal data whenever available for Demand Planning and reporting purposes.
  • • Proactively work with Sales to understand upcoming promotional activity and new/lost distribution.
  • • Compile and deliver the weekly Demand Plan that encompasses all of the latest business intelligence. Maintain files of forecast adjustments.
  • • Work closely with Production to communicate changes to the published forecast.
  • • Maintain Demand Planning files in Excel with consistency in naming and format.
  • • Work closely with the Business Intelligence Reporting Manager to support the monthly inventory review process.
  • • Review actuals vs. budget, and highlight significant discrepancies that impact inventory.
  • • Help develop and maintain reporting tools that highlight actuals vs. budget, as well as the demand plan vs. budget.
  • • Participate in discussions and provide recommendations in inventory meetings where overall and final decisions are made about cheese production by plant. The verifiable accuracy of sales data is critical to the Company’s optimum performance, and is a responsibility of the Inventory, Budget and Sales Managers.
  • • Support other departments for analysis and reporting as needed, to include serving on cross-functional teams to support IT and business projects. Proactively make suggestions on how to improve and streamline existing processes.
  • • Bachelor degree is required.
  • • At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • • Excellent presentation skills, to include written and interpersonal skills.
  • • Solid math and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects.
  • • Must have advanced Excel experience, and previous experience using Demand Planning/stat modeling software.

Summary: Full - time position available to work 3rd shift (10 pm – 6:30 am) to perform all phases of mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs to the building, including plant equipment. These repairs will be performed with a sense of urgency and accuracy to help minimize / ensure there are no disruptions to plant operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment and on the building.
  • • Complete all work in a timely manner with the expected level of quality and pride.
  • • Check operational equipment throughout the plant periodically during the shift to identify potential problems and/or areas of concern, and to minimize / eliminate instances of failure.
  • • Thoroughly troubleshoot all problems and areas of concern.
  • • Immediately and effectively communicate all problems and concerns with the supervisor.
  • • Work in a professional manner with all employees and with outside contractors, regardless of the situation.
  • • Attend and successfully complete various training classes throughout the year, as assigned.
  • • Knowledge of and willingness to learn the startup, shut down and repair of boilers.
  • • Capably use a computer to retrieve work orders, to sign off on work completed, and to reorder parts used for daily repairs.
  • • Must be available to be reached by home or cell phone when needed for assistance.
  • • High school diploma or GED is required, along with at least two years mechanical experience or an equivalent vocational background.
  • • Must have proven mechanical ability. Previous electrical and welding experience is a plus.
  • • Ideal candidate has previous experience working in a manufacturing / production plant environment.
  • • Must be able to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • • Able to work on and successfully complete multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail.
  • • Must have proper hand tools needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • • Must be able to regularly lift up to 80 lbs.
  • • Must have excellent communication skills and a positive “can do” attitude.
  • • Schedule flexibility is required to support total plant operations. This includes the willingness to work on weekends and holidays, extended shifts, and on planned / unplanned tasks as needed.

Summary: Full-time Sanitation Worker to work in our manufacturing plant. Start time may fluctuate anywhere from 4-6 p.m. and until midnight – 2 am. Weekend availability is a must.

  • • Disassemble, thoroughly clean, and reassemble pipelines, pumps and processing equipment.

Summary: This full-time, salaried position will represent Cabot Creamery as the #1 manufacturer and marketer of fine dairy foods, selling and merchandising Cabot products to customers on assigned sales routes from Chicago, IL to Milwaukee, WI. Duties & Responsibilities
  • • Preferred candidates will increase brand and product knowledge, represent Cabot at trade shows and special events as needed, and Identify and solicit potential new customers within the defined DSD route service territory.
  • • Some overnight travel will be required (3 nights per week on average), as well as flexibility to support other DSD Drivers during vacations and other events.
  • • candidates must have at least three years’ of food industry, retail / wholesale / distributor experience, a proven sales record, valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a required DOT physical.

The successful applicant must ensure costs are captured accurately as incurred at each stage of production, will participate, understand and explain all plant spending and variances, and will function as an on-site financial resource to plant management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • • In the Sanitation Supervisor’s absence, will coordinate the work of other sanitation crew members.
  • • Will be responsible for all aspects of the sanitation department and ensure that proper cleaning and sanitation of production facilities is achieved on a daily basis.
  • • Must be capable of learning all plant sanitation areas, and be knowledgeable in all sanitation roles to effectively address employee development and plant-specific needs, regardless of the area or timing.
  • • Must be able to handle situations or problems that occur with a high level of professionalism and direction.
  • • Ensure that all crew members receive adequate training and cross-training, with an emphasis on proper safety procedures.
  • • Previous supervisory / management experience is a plus.
  • • Must have above-average mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, strong math ability, and a proven ability to multi-task.
  • • Preferred candidate has experience working in a manufacturing production plant, ideally with sanitation.
  • • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive and encouraging attitude.
  • • Must be able to regularly lift up to 80 lbs.
