2nd shift Cut & Wrap Opener

Cabot Creamery is seeking a Full Time 2nd shift Opener to work at our Cutting & Wrapping Plant located in Cabot, VT.

This position is responsible for checking pallet/box identifications against paperwork to ensure that the right product has been selected for the specific line, item and customer to include removing cheese blocks from the boxes and for storing the removed materials in a neat and orderly manner. Remove forms from the 640’s and store the forms properly, and trim blocks as necessary due to surface defects. Trim blocks as necessary with quality paid to how the trimming impacts the shape of the block/640.  Responsible for weighing and reporting the volume of trim removed.

Previous production and/or manufacturing experience is desired, but we are willing to train dependable and motivated individuals. Must possess solid math skills, the ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs., be self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).  Schedule will be Monday thru Friday 5/8 hour days and willingness to work overtime required. High School diploma or GED is required.
