A successful and eclectic professional musician, Cathy DeWitt has shared the stage and the airwaves with Garrison Keillor, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, John Pizzarelli,Rob Bargad, Dave Frishberg, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, and many more.
Cathy's mission is to create community with music and to share her deep experience as a pioneer in the field of using the arts--particularly music--in healthcare settings and palliative care. A leader in the field of arts and aging, she has served as the Musician in Residence and music program leader for Shands Arts in Medicine at the University of Florida since 1994.
She is an award-winning songwriter, a Certified Artist Trainer for the National Center for Creative Aging (NCCA), and was selected to be a member of NCCA’s National Speakers and Consultants Directory.
