Cabot Farmer Spokesperson
Nate Chittenden is a true 21st century farmer. Schooled by his father Paul, a third generation farmer and his mother Melanie in the ways of farming, Nate grew up with a passion for cows, farming and family. Working closely with his parents and his brothers Alan and Brian, Nate co-manages the family’s 1,980 acre Dutch Hollow Farm in Shodack Landing, NY. With about 800 cows, there is always plenty to do on the farm. Dutch Hollow welcomes thousands of visitors each year from schools, pre-schools, youth groups, 4-H clubs, high school science classes and college veteri-nary classes.

His efforts have helped strengthen his community, promote family farming and inspire the next generation of dairy farmers.
