This week, we have a very special video edition of Farmer Friday. We’re visiting the Richardson Family Farm in Hartland, Vermont. Our friends at Must Be The Milk – a group dedicated to promoting New England and New York dairy farms and farmers – have created a beautiful and heartfelt look into the lives of one of the 1200 farm families who own Cabot. Three generations of Richardsons work side by side every day, not only milking their herd of 65 dairy cows, but also they put up over 8000 maple taps every year. If that isn’t enough to keep them busy, this hard working family also has a thriving split-rail fencing business!
Watch this short video and get to know this dedicated and industrious family. You will see how committed they are to the care of their animals and the stewardship of their land, both of which sustain them and will continue support future generations for years to come.
You can see the video at the bottom, but first enjoy these pictures taken on the farm.
