Cabot Insiders’ Favorite Cheese Picks

The farm families who own Cabot and the employees who work for our co-operative love Cabot’s award winning cheeses just as much as you do. While we’re sure you can name your favorite Cabot product (quick: add it to your grocery list!), there is no way we could choose just one…it’s like picking a favorite child—impossible! So, we asked six Cabot insiders to tell you their favorites. Plus, they share how they enjoy these cheeses, too!

My favorites are alpine and extra sharp. I like them plain with raw fruit or vegetables so I can savor the flavor. I often enjoy them as a desert.

My favorites are Cabot Alpine cheddar (I also love imported Reggiano Parmigiano and Grana – ungrated) and Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar (my wife’s and my very first Cabot favorite). I like my cheeses mellow – at room temperature – so I can savor the rich flavor! Sometimes I’ll accompany them with red or black grapes and/or a glass of red (yes, red like a pinot noir) wine! And, with the exception (sometimes) of my wife, I don’t like to share with anyone else! That got me hungry – I think I’m going to have that Seriously Sharp cheddar and some red wine right now! Life is good!
