National Dog Day is extra important to Cabot employee and dog lover Emily McLean, who is President of Therapy Dogs of Vermont. This organization is dedicated to touching hearts, bringing joy, offering comfort and enriching lives with certified therapy dog teams in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and other states, as well as Canada. As president, Emily is charged not only with organizing the day-to-day operations of TDV, but also spreading the word about the work that they do within the community.
“Canine TDV members have a unique love and understanding of people. They are outgoing and seem to be able to look directly into people’s hearts,” says Emily. She often works with her TDV teammate Autumn, a gentle Goldendoodle. Emily and Autumn make lifelong memories every time they work together, offering unconditional love and comfort to people in need of a large dose of both.
As a dog lover and Cabot employee, Emily knows the value of healthy, delicious treats that dogs love. Whether it’s a bite of cheddar, the joy of getting the last tasty licks from the yogurt carton, or cheesy cookies made just for pups with Cabot Cheddar, there’s no better way to say “I love you” to your favorite doggo than with a Cabot treat. Emily keeps this fun blog post – Cabot Pets and Their Favorite Treats – bookmarked because it has great recipes for yummy snacks, perfect for hard-working pups.
Making nutritious, delicious dog treats takes just minutes and ensures your best friend is getting only the best. Try a batch of these yummy Cheesy Constellation Crackers for your favorite canine.
What pupper wouldn’t boop for joy when they tasted one of our most popular pet treats – Doggie Pupcakes with Greek Yogurt-Peanut Butter Frosting?
You don’t have to restrict your Puppy Love to one day of the year. You can go to the National Dog Day website for adorable dog pics, resources for adopting a new pup, and lots of fun ideas on how to celebrate National Dog Day with your pack.
Happy National Dog Day from the Farm Families who own Cabot and their canine companions!
