Welcome to Cabot’s Department of Gratitude, created to reflect the values of the farm families who own Cabot Creamery Co-operative.
Beginning in April, Cabot honored healthcare workers on the front lines in areas hardest hit by the ravages of Covid-19 by shipping cheese to the frontlines. We shipped more than 13,000 pounds of individual ¾-ounce bars, to over 1000 hospitals and front-line organizations in 46 states. In addition, to support community programs feeding people in the hardest hit areas, we donated close to 300,000 pounds of yogurt, cottage cheese and sour cream.
Sending cheese was our way to THANK the extraordinary dedication and commitment of everyone who continues to do their essential work under the most difficult circumstances, as well as their families who support their efforts.
We received over 3,600 donation requests, exhausting our donations cheese supply and ending our front-line healthcare donation requests.
Thank you to everyone who sent the names of family and friends protecting us all.
Since its founding in 1919, Cabot Creamery Co-operative farmers have survived and thrived through the most challenging times. They have done this in the spirit of cooperation, commitment and community. Our farm families know the value of hard work and neighbor helping neighbors.
