Girls On the Run Northeast Florida is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. GOTR has support from many amazing volunteers who believe in their mission and show up to support the girls in many different roles. Today, the Farmers' Gratitude Grille team is excited to serve Seniors on a Mission who are on site lending their helping hands to GOTR assisting with meaningful tasks.
United Way of Northeast Florida supports agencies that deliver a variety of safety-net programs, including emergency assistance, housing and food. Today is packing day for the 16th year program, "A Visit from St. Nicholas" that will bring backpacks filled with books, toys, and health/wellness items to 5500+ elementary school children in selected schools. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team is excited to be on site to serve these wonderful volunteers a warm meal, and thank them for their efforts in giving back.
Clean the World recycles soap and hygiene amenities from hotel and travel partners around the world. Their non-profit operates water, santitation, and hygiene (WASH) education and emergency relief programs to improve global health and transform lives. Today is "Soapy Saturday" and the hard working volunteers will be busy sorting soap and a variety of amenities from area hotels to recycle for distribution to families living in poverty around the world. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team is excited to be on site to serve these wonderful volunteers a warm meal, and thank them for their efforts in giving back.
The Mustard Seed of Central Florida helps rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy by providing household furnishings and clothing while being environmentally responsible to the community. One Heart for Women and Children is dedicated to provide the necessary resources for families as they transition through and overcome varying hardships of daily living in the Central Florida region. They have established partnerships with many Central Florida resources to educate, empower, and mentor men, women and children. They provide many services including personal hygiene, life skills, parenting classes, and drug or substance abuse outreach. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team is honored to serve the volunteers who provide such a great community outreach to those in need.
Cornerstone Hospice ensures the highest quality of care for patients and families. The volunteers are a vital part of the entire organization, and play an active role in helping to provide many special comfort and support services that distinguish hopsice care. Today, The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team is pleased to serve the volunteers who provide such a valued commitment to the hospice program.
The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center is called the "Campus of Caring" because it is home to over 17 nonprofit health and human services agencies that help low income and at risk adults, children and families. They are a not-for-profit philanthropic proprietor of a five-acre human services campus. On campus, the 17 nonprofits work, meet, collaborate, strategize and communicate every day. The campus is a collection of buildings striving every day to make Sarasota and Manatee a better place to live. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team will be on campus serving the volunteers of the "Campus of Caring" and thanking them for their dedication and commitment.
Tidewell Hospice is committed to the advancement of services that support the ebb and flow that are a normal part of life's journey and to optimizing comfort for patients and families. Through education and research, Tidewell fosters the advancement of hospice care and palliative services on the local, state and national levels. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team will be on site today to serve the passionate volunteers of this organization.
All Faiths Food Bank is dedicated to providing healthy solutions to end hunger in the community. Their work is evidence-based and data driven. They focus on outcomes and impact and work with partners to provide hunger relief. They prioritize serving the most needy and vulnerable first: children, seniors, veterans and those in crisis. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team will be serving the wonderful volunteers of this organization and thanking them for their volunteerism.
Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy, Inc. is dedicated to providing their services to as many children and adults in the community with special needs as possible. They provide them the opportunity to develop to their greatest potential. SMART has provided over 35,000 therapuetic riding lessons and program services to over 4000 individuals. Throughout its 30 years, it has been a mostly volunteer powered organization. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team will be a part of their annual volunteer appreciation dinner, where the volunteers will be recognized for their efforts throught the year.
Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is dedicated to connecting people with southwest Florida's dynamic coastal environment. The friends of Rookery Bay help thenReserve staff address many challenges in managing the coastal lands and waters. They generate community involvement through an active volunteer program, outreach efforts, and fundraising events. The Farmers' Gratitude Grille Team is excited to serve these wonderful volunteers for an evening of recognition.
