Vermont’s First Green Agritourism Enterprise... Liberty Hill Farm

For a quarter of a century, the Kennett family has been the proud owner of Liberty Hill Farm, a dairy farm and bed & breakfast in central Vermont hosting guests from all over the world.

The Kennett family takes great pride in being stewards of the land. They operate a green hotel, and are also a Vermont Environmental Business Partner. They have helped to organize the White River Partnership to improve the health of the local White River and its watershed. As a member of the Vermont Fresh Network and founding member of state agri-tourism association Vermont Farms!, Liberty Hill Farm is able to stay close to its roots in the farming industry.

Beth Kennett says that the new mantra of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” is simply a rewording of the ethic she learned from her grandparents to “Use it up, Make it do, Wear it out, or Do without”. Their environmental stewardship has been ingrained in their family for generations.

Beth wears many hats for Agri-Mark: she serves as a voting delegate, serves on the legislative advocacy committee, and represents the cooperative on the Vermont Dairy Promotion Council.
