Lab Technician

Agri-Mark has a full-time opening for a Laboratory Technician to work in our West Springfield, MA plant. Responsibilities for this position will include all aspects of product testing, ingredient screening and raw material analysis, finished product quality, sanitation monitoring and analysis, product loss control, QA/QC of equipment to include calibration, record keeping, and report generation.  Individual will also provide communications regarding quality standards and will help to direct blending / standardizing of operations.  Schedule flexibility, willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays and rotate shift, as required.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field with course credits in microbiology and chemistry.  Preferred candidates have a science background, 3+ years of lab experience, are capable of working independently and as a team member.  Solid math skills and the ability to work comfortably with numbers while maintaining complete and accurate records is required.  Position requires mature judgment ability, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to complete multiple projects within deadlines while performing assigned lab duties.  Advanced computer skills to include Windows, Excel and Word is a plus.
