Agri-Mark is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to provide supervision oversight of the Manufacturing Plant at our Cabot, VT location. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of production, including building/growing and sustaining effective teams who will work safely, maintain the facility in a sanitary manner, meet financial goals, ensure that all products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications. The Production Supervisor will coordinate with the Cut and Wrap facility, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel to ensure that production is performed in a safe, efficient manner and that an adequately trained workforce is maintained. This is a 24/7 operation working nights and weekends as required.
A Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, and a strong knowledge of safety programs/systems with a proven track record of improving safety performance through a team based approach. In addition, an overall understanding of dairy plant operations (HTST, separators, packaging equipment, cheddar and cultured equipment/processes and reverse osmosis systems) is desired. Individuals must have a thorough working knowledge of maintaining and testing certified pasteurization equipment (HTST). The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, and a high degree of integrity, ethics and sound judgment. Solid knowledge of safety and environmental programs/regulations, SQF, HAACP, GMPs and sanitation regulations required. This individual must possess the ability to interpret and draw graphs and charts, analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve situations and problems with viable solutions through teamwork and collaboration.
