Start off your day the right way with a healthy but hearty gluten-free scone. Our gluten-free scone recipe, which makes for four large scones, is an ideal breakfast dish for someone who might be gluten-intolerant, or for those who are interested in cutting gluten out of their respective diets. The scones feature a delicious assortment of ingredients, including coconut flour, honey, applesauce and cinnamon—interestingly, adding honey and applesauce helps to add an element of sweetness, while also helping the scones to stay nice and moist. We’re confident you and your family will love these scones. If you think your friends and family might enjoy the recipe, then please share it with them on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter.
Preparing our gluten-free scones should only take about a half hour, so you can prepare them quickly for breakfast after you get up. Regarding ingredients, you’ll need one cup of gluten-free oat flour, a quarter cup of coconut flour, a quarter cup of potato starch, three packets of Stevia, a tablespoon of psyllium husks, some baking powder, applesauce, honey, an egg, coconut oil, unsweetened almond milk, half of a red apple, four ounces of Cabot Sharp Cheddar cheese (shredded), some cinnamon and a quarter teaspoon of sea salt. The directions below highlight everything you need to know about preparing these scones, but here’s some quick advice: when preparing your ingredients, prepare the dry and wet ingredients separately. That way, you can ensure that your dry spices and other ingredients don’t become oversaturated.
It’s tough to turn down fresh scones. If you’re hunting for another great scone recipe, then consider making our bacon sundried tomato and cheddar cheese scones. Unlike the gluten-free scones, these bacon scones are savory, and they’re great for snacking on throughout the day. Cabot is a cooperative of New York and New England farm families, and we take a great deal of pride in producing our award-winning cheeses and other dairy products. We hope you enjoyed our gluten-free scone recipe, and we’d love to hear your feedback about the dish. After trying it, please feel free to rate and review the recipe.
