Dutch Hollow Farm’s Overnight French Toast
Nothing sounds better on a cold, winter morning than a deliciously sweet, delectable stack of french toast. This season, spice up your brunch menu with a twist on the classic – Dutch Hollow Farm’s Overnight French Toast, which incorporates Cabot’s rich Triple Cream Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt for the ultimate quick and easy brunch recipe you and your family won’t be able to get enough of. The best part of this simple brunch menu recipe? You can make it the night before – so all you’ll have to do when you get up is turn on the oven and let it cook. It’s the perfect french toast recipe for chilly holiday mornings next to a fire.
To make between 6-8 servings of this delicious french toast recipe, start by cutting your day-old French bread (you want it to be hard, we promise!) into cubes or slices, depending on your preference, and set aside.
Next, melt your salted or unsalted butter in a medium saucepan, and add brown sugar and maple syrup. Heat the mixture on medium until your brown sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the sweet, syrupy mixture into a 13″ x 9″ glass baking dish.
After you’ve made the sauce, whisk the remaining ingredients together in a large bowl until they’re well mixed, and arrange the bread pieces into a baking dish on top of your brown sugar glaze, covering the bottom completely.
Finally, pour the custard mixture over the bread until it’s completely covered. Cover the dish in plastic wrap and set aside for at least ½ hour, or overnight.
Once your mixture has cooled, or the next morning, preheat your oven to 350°F. Remove the plastic wrap from the dish, and bake the French toast for 30 to 40 minutes until the top is golden brown (and your kitchen smells amazing!) Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Dress up your french toast with toppings! Mini chocolate chips, sliced bananas, berries or other sliced fruit are some of our favorites. Make sure to share your creation on social media, and don’t forget to tag Cabot Creamery on Facebook, or @cabotcheese on Instagram!

I cannot believe how fabulous this turned out! Was a huge hit with my family at Christmas morning brunch and a keeper for sure! The only change I made was sprinkling a little nutmeg and cinnamon on top because what is French toast without those seasonings?
This new Yogurt is so delicious AND this recipe provided no leftovers! Thanks to Cabot and all the farmers for the delicious products you make.
