1 pound whole mushrooms
2 – 3 garlic cloves, minced
4 – 5 tablespoons Cabot Unsalted Butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 sprig thyme or oregano

PREPARE the mushrooms: Brush loose dirt from surfaces, cut end of stems off, and cut larger mushrooms in half so that mushrooms are about the same size. Set aside.
MELT 4 tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet.
ADD the minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 1 – 2 minutes.
ADD the mushrooms. Stir on medium-high heat until mushrooms are tender. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. If the mushrooms start sticking to the pan add the additional 1 tablespoon of butter.
ADD the sprig of oregano or thyme and cook for a few more minutes or until fragrant. Serve hot.
